San Diego 4th of July Fireworks and Parades

Aside from those offered by SeaWorld, LEGOLAND, and the San Diego County Fair at Del Mar, there are five official viewing locations from which to see San Diego’s firework displays. Each site will be accessible by shuttle buses that will begin transporting folks from designated parking lots at 6PM. Boaters are advised to observe the 300 yard safety zones around the barges from which the fireworks will be launched.

The Fourth of July Parade at Scripps Ranch begins at 10AM, as does Coronado’s. Old Town’s parade and pie eating contest begin at 11AM. Coronado event organizers suggest the ferry as an alternative mode of transportation. Set up for parade viewing may begin along the parade route on Orange Avenue as early as 5AM. There will be fireworks over Glorietta Bay at sunset.

Live music from the 80z All Stars sets Santee’s celebration in motion at 3:30PM. For parking and shuttle service information pertaining to the evening fireworks, please check the City’s website.

Festivities begin at 11AM in Imperial Beach where live bands will pay until 8:30PM, just before fireworks begin on the pier. San Ysidro’s Independence Festival will host live music on three stages and an inflatable city at Cesar Chavez Park from 3PM-9PM, culminating with fireworks.

National City’s Fourth of July Carnival at Kimball Park began on June 29th and runs through the 4th, ending with evening fireworks.

The La Jolla Bay and Ocean Beach fireworks begin at 9PM. Fireworks are also planned for El Cajon.

The 4th of July Music Fest and Fireworks held at Lake Murray, however, has been canceled.

I've always said, if you're gonna screw something up, then screw it up big time so EVERYONE notices. Way to go Garden State Fireworks. Mission accomplished. Gotta give those guys from Jersey their due credit, those I guess they won't be listing thi one on their website as one of their "accomplishments". BTW, what kind of computer was it and who wrote the software. Or was it just "operator error"? LOL
