Does Sober February have to end?
I think you missed Sober Steve's point. When you’re out on the town drinking with friends and everyone is is the same frame of mind. It's easier to deal with people who have "had a few" if you have also "had a few". But when you abstain, regardless wether it is out of necessity or a life style (health or other) choice, you can easily see how alcohol makes people even just a little obnoxious and it can wear on your nerves to the point where you don't even want to go out with them anymore.— February 17, 2016 11:07 a.m.
Little Brown Dress
Time after time, as I read about your adventures I think that you are truly blessed to have found such a wonderful man. It gives me hope for those of us who haven’t yet. :) (Posted originally to "Tic tact” by mistake.)— March 26, 2014 10:53 a.m.

Divine Manipulation
Wow! Good for her! I have an egocentric manipulative sister… … …— September 11, 2013 3:21 p.m.
Ornament Brigade
Bravo to you! I too have tried to start a "no gift" policy. It's my S.O. who refuses to get on board (he equates gift giving to affection). SIGH! I'd rather he give to "Feed America" in my name (or any other worthwhile organizations). The rest of our families have moved away and we only give if we see them on Christmas, and only then do we draw names, secret Santa style, since we both come from large families.— December 13, 2012 12:01 p.m.
A Man, His Service Dog, and a Parks and Rec Officer
"Looks" like a certain Parks and Rec officer needs additional training.— October 26, 2012 9:48 a.m.
What Didn't You Do?
Thanks Barbarella. This is one I will print and carry in my wallet.— September 19, 2012 3:37 p.m.
Benevolent Dictator
I'm with you Barb, I once had the pleasure of calling a construction company because I saw someone texting while driving one of their trucks. I didn't have to tell the man I spoke to the license plate number, he already knew it.— August 29, 2012 4:59 p.m.
Pony
reminds me of a first (and only) date. we went for a walk on the boardwalk after a very late dinner-he leaned over and gave me a little kiss. at that very moment ALL the lights up and down the boardwalk went out. he said something to the effect of "wow! i'm really something!".— July 11, 2012 3:33 p.m.
