Golf deep in the hole — San Diego no exception
It's not that younger generations don't have the patience for golf, it's just that any decent course costs SO much to play. Not many young people can fork out $100+ for golf on any given day. Most of the cheaper courses are in pretty bad condition and you still pay $40-60 dollars. If Golf doesn't want to die with all of the baby boomers it needs to adjust it's image. It's no fun being a younger person going to a golf course and being browbeat by a bunch of stuffy old people. Even if you are respectful and following the rules it can feel very unwelcoming if you don't look like a 50's prep kid with a flat top.— June 5, 2013 8:12 a.m.
Vista’s illegal parking problem on Poinsettia Avenue
I guess the off ramp to Sycamore might be 500 feet from the location they are talking about but the only way to get there is to go through 1/2 mile of streets to get there. There is no off ramp where that picture was taken. And anyone that knows that street knows it's a little TJ. I don't think the residents of the apartment complex there are too worried about "unsightly" advertising.— March 9, 2013 12:05 p.m.
War at La Jolla Farms
Investing is basically semi educated gambling, there are no guarantees. The reason you make money for doing nothing is because there is risk. I've never heard of an investment where you are certain to make tons of money, and if you don't you can call foul and sue to recover your original investment.— December 6, 2009 5:29 p.m.
Car Crime
So...does this mean if I have a for sale sign on my car I can't park in RB? How can they tell the difference between cars that are parked for sale and cars that are there for everyday reasons?— August 29, 2009 12:42 p.m.
