O.B./Point Loma McMansion plans spark border war
This is not a great plan to put two McMansions on a tiny lot surrounded by tiny homes.— May 27, 2016 1:20 p.m.
Fancy feast
Pathetic in every way...— December 30, 2013 6:09 p.m.

I took the 30 bus after reading your article to find they were closed. I ended up at Crazeeburger Old Town for a great meal. Please be up to date when you give their hours or date when you visited.... Strong— October 2, 2013 11:13 p.m.
For-real deal on Congress Street
Hey, Ed! Thanks for the reminder of great memories! I haven't been there in some time, so I'm heading for the bus stop and will splurge (er, save) on a great lunch there today! You're right, they have great food at excellent prices.— October 2, 2013 12:21 p.m.
Dan Diego's
Well put, Ian Pike! Somehow I missed your review and just now found this wonderful neighborhood restaurant three weeks ago. I will start following you closely and look at the archives! Dan Diegos It is a work in progress with Chef Ryan constantly trying new things that aren't on the regular menu. Today is a Fourth of July special marinated, smoked and BBQ'd Tri Tip I'll enjoy. I've also enjoyed Double Pork stew, the best ever Irish Soda Bread, the best ever Bread Pudding, a Corned Pork patty sandwich, Pepper sausage gravy on on steak fries, lamb pastrami, etc. Others have raved to me about the meatloaf, sheperd's pie and chicken alfredo pasta. May I suggest a return visit!— July 4, 2013 4:09 p.m.

Babbo's Bar & Grille, Uptown: Back from the brink?
It shouldn't take six months to resolve a kitchen fire, shame on all involved; especially Greenspan from my experience. Greenspan presents the claim for Babbo in return for 10%+ of the proceeds. I miss the place.— April 5, 2013 7:53 p.m.
Apertivo
These guys are great! The food and wine is exceptional even before the wonder of a tremendous variety of small plates. I don't know how they do it, plus great cooking classes as well!— April 28, 2012 9:03 p.m.
