McGonagle’s Authentic Philly Cheesesteaks

Tucked among a nest of food chains and box stores in National City, this independent eatery works to bring a taste of Philly to San Diego, in cheesesteak form, naturally. Aside from the standard (and yes, Cheese Whiz is an option), it offers an affordable array including Buffalo, Pizza and Chicken cheesesteaks, with a pepper bar to spice it how you like it. They'll even sell you beer to wash it down with.

Mr. Ed I read your comment about our local eatery. The cheese steak place, which is great, the artical was o.k. but your directions suck, if you are taking the bus. the closest stop is not on Plaza and Highland it is on Thirteenth and Highland. you are almost a quarter of a mile away.If you happen to be a senior or handicap you would be putting us at a real long walk. The cosest stop is bout fifty feet away and the stop is across from the ninety nine cent store. both wats, south is on the corner across from Robertos and the one going north is in front of the auto stereo place. other than that i don't see any discount's for seniors in any of your review's. thank you Harold

I have to apologize for the missed or misspelled words in my prior posting. my fingers are faster than my brain.sorry
