Mountain Man Rendezvous
Visit a “mountain man” encampment to meet characters from the North American Fur Trade era (1815-1840). See demonstrations of flint and steel fire-starting, archery, tomahawk & knife throwing, blackpowder shooting, trap setting, primitive cooking, and candle making. Listen to the stories of those who followed Lewis and Clark into the western mountains. Primitive camps, teepees, a blacksmith shop and period-dressed people will be ready to talk with you and show you around.

Tacotopia: unlimited tacos, local beer
The largest, unlimited taco event in San Diego. Tacos from TJ to LA, from established taco chains to mom and pop taco stands and trucks. A diverse selection of crispy fish tacos, fancy gourmet tacos, and savory street tacos from 60 of the best taco vendors. Unlimited taco tasting, beer tastings from 20 local breweries, full-sized pours and margaritas available at the bar, live music, lucha libre wrestling, and lawn games. Local breweries include Modern Times, North Park Beer Co, Little Miss Brewing and OB Brewery. At the end of the day, attendees will decide who will win the Best Taco Award. Proceeds from the bar will benefit The Greater Golden Hill Community Development Corporation.
San Diego Murder and Mayhem
Early twentieth-century San Diego was growing fast, and officers sworn to protect the city encountered wily lawbreakers. From a shootout with a lone gunman in Mission Hills, to gunfights with a gang of bank robbers that involved enthusiastic bystanders hoping to assist, detectives and patrolmen struggled to maintain peace. Join author Steve Willard as he unearths stories directly from case files of the early San Diego Police Department. A San Diego resident since 1977, Willard joined the SDPD in 1985.
Indian Fry Bread and Singers
The Balboa Park Pow Wow showcases the heritage of American Indians. Participants of all ages will be present from American Indian tribes, drum groups. and communities, wearing ornate regalia. Kumeyaay singers will open the event both days with Birds Songs. Gourd Dancing will follow, and then the Grand Entry, which opens a day of inter-tribal dancing. Vendors will be selling handmade jewelry, pottery, basketry, clothing, fry bread, and Indian tacos.

Man of La Mancha
Inspired by Miguel de Cervantes’ Don Quixote, this musical displays the perseverance of a dying old man who refuses to relinquish his ideals or his passion. Tells the story of the “mad” knight as a play within a play, performed by Cervantes and his fellow prisoners as he awaits a hearing with the Spanish Inquisition.
T.S.O.L. at Ramona Mainstage
Long Beach punk-metal heroes T.S.O.L. are celebrating over 40 years of ruptured eardrums by reuniting with three founding members who’ve been in and out of the band at various times and touring in support of their newest full-length, The Trigger Complex. The bill includes locals Authentic Sellout and Some Kind of Nightmare, as well as Radolescents and the Yucks.
