Man with injured arms pulled out by Coast Guard
The man was wearing a life jacket on but appeared to be floundering in the water, able only to use his legs. Two of the Coast Guard crew jumped in, clothes and all to assist the man and managed with much difficulty to get him onto a stretcher and pulled up on to the back of their boat.
The man was obviously in a great deal of pain and it appeared he had a bone protruding from his upper arm. The police on the scene said the man was being taken to medical services on Coronado.
