Raining money

Doug Hutcheson, CEO of San Diego’s Leap Wireless, has chipped in $2500 to the campaign for Props 1A through E, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s five measures on the May ballot. Prop 1A would hike state sales and income taxes by an estimated $16 billion. Flatiron West, a big construction company with offices in San Marcos, contributed $25,000. … The election is more than three years away, but Democratic assemblywoman Lori Saldaña is already collecting money for her putative campaign to replace Chris Kehoe in the state senate. Latest to contribute: the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation, with $900. The tribe also gave a hefty $30,000 to the “Democratic Central Committee of California.”
