The free Discovery Concert Series presents Music: The Universal Language. Three pianists will present music featuring composers from Mexico, China, Japan, and Brazil. Anna Louisa Vidales, Naomi Hobbs, and Vania Pimentel are all members of the prestigious Clavier Piano Club of San Diego County. Vidales will perform works of Mexican composers Ricardo Castro, Luis Jorda, Manuel Ponce, and Jose Rolon. Hobbs will perform a work of Chinese composer Wang Jianzhong as well as one of her own compositions. Pimentel will perform works of Brazilian composers Ernesto Nazareth, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Camargo Guarnieri, and Francisco Mignone.
