Serge Dedina, co-founder and Executive Director of WILDCOAST, and current mayor of Imperial Beach will ill tell the story of the return of the gray whale from near extinction, which is a global conservation success story. He is author of "Saving the Gray Whale, and will recount the story of how the gray whale came back from oblivion and where conservation is headed in this climate-challenged 21st century. This is a free event hosted by the San Diego Chapter of the American Cetacean Society.
