Youth Harmony Day
Make plans to attend Youth Harmony Day, a free co-ed workshop and show for secondary school students. Learn to sing barbershop harmony with students from all over San Diego County. Perform on the evening show with your peers and other vocal ensembles. Women will sing Shallow (from A Star Is Born) and Lean On Me; men will sing Bear Necessities (The Jungle Book-get it?) and Lazy Day. Mixed voice choir will sing I Have A Song To Sing. Attendees will enjoy a free all-day vocal clinic to promote a cappella harmony singing and vocal education in San Diego County. Students learn 2-3 songs in the barbershop style, then perform for family, friends, and community at an evening concert. They’ll work with singing professionals and qualified clinicians for a day of new and exciting singing experiences. Youth Harmony Day is put on by the Barbershop Harmony Society, Sweet Adeline's, and other choruses around San Diego. Register online. Link to music will be provided. Start time is 8:15 for registration.
