Age limit: All ages
Instructor: Amy Becraft | Before you jump in feet first into this wonderful hands-on workshop, engage in lively discussions about what a book is, what makes a book, and whether a book needs to have text to be a book. You will be introduced to some of basic book binding materials and skills necessary for cutting, trimming, folding and binding books. In the first session, experiment with different color and thicknesses of papers, and several basic folding techniques using a single sheet of paper. In the second session create a blank book with sewn signatures and a decorative paper cover with a flap closure to use as a sketchbook, journal or diary. Expect to make three or four individual books. These also make great gifts. Please register in advance.
