At the March meeting of the San Diego County Archaeological Society, Shelby Jones-Cervantes, a graduate student at the Scripps Institute of Oceanography will present a talk titled Using Earth's Magnetic Field to Determine the Age of Heat-Treated Archaeological Materials. The meeting will be held at the Los Penasquitos Adobe, starting at 7:30 pm. To reach the Adobe, from Interstate 15 take the Mercy Road exit and go west until Mercy Road ends at Black Mountain Road. Turn right and then make a left at the next traffic light, at Canyonside Park. Continue past the ball fields, through a gate and park by the barn. You may wish to bring a flashlight for the walk from and to your car.
