Hands of Peace Farewell Celebration
Hands of Peace is a three-week peace-building program with 42 Israeli, Palestinian and American teens, which is taking place, July 10-29. The purpose of the program is to break down the walls of conflict in the Middle East and throughout the world. Hands of Peace brings together high school students to build bridges and leadership skills among teens divided by conflict, culture, geography and history. Their farewell celebration will take place this Sunday, July 28, where guests will hear participants share their experiences at the culmination of this year’s summer program. Listen to their moving stories of hope for the future and how the program has transformed their perspectives on “The Other”. The evening includes gourmet appetizers and dessert, and the opportunity to connect with Hands of Peace alumni. Adult tickets are $35 at www.handsofpeace.org (under 18 and college aged Hands of Peace alumni are free).
