San Diego’s "Impossible Railroad" is 100 Years Old
7265 Jackson Drive, San Diego, 92119
Cost: Free
Despite its drama-filled history of floods, fires, tunnel collapses, and other disasters, the 148-mile-long and 100-year old San Diego & Arizona Railway still operates over parts of the line, with near-future plans to open it up completely between San Diego and Imperial Valley. Join us as Dr. Dr. Reena Deutsch discusses this colorful part of San Diego’s history during the line’s Centennial year.
