Local archaeologist Natalie Brodie will discuss efforts to recover cremated human remains following the massive Butte County fire. Please note that this presentation will show photographs of cremated human remains. If that may be upsetting to you, you may prefer to skip this event. The meeting will be held at the Los Penasquitos Adobe, starting at 7:30 pm. To reach the Adobe, from Interstate 15 take the Mercy Road exit and go west until Mercy Road ends at Black Mountain Road. Turn right and then make a left at the next traffic light, at Canyonside Park. Continue past the ball fields, through a gate and park by the barn. You may wish to bring a flashlight for the walk from and to your car.
