Doggie Spring Bonnet Contest & Parade

The Spay-Neuter Action Project of San Diego, a registered charity, will be hosting a fun-filled spring celebration for people and their dogs. The charity event is from 2-5 pm. Pet parents and their dogs are invited to decorate bonnets with flowers, buttons and bows, lace, sparkles, and whatever else may strike your fancy. There will be one winner per category: most creative, most unique, most spring-like, and best pair. Local luminaries will be on hand during the event, including, KUSI’s own Pet Patrol Sandie Lampe who will serve as Master of Ceremonies and contest judges Monique Martin, Miss Greater California, Erin Riley-Carrasco, named PETA’s Sexiest Vegan Over 50, Tori Rosay, businesswoman and owner of Dexter’s Deli in Del Mar, and Margo Schwab of the La Jolla Social Diary.

Tickets are $25 each and includes wine tasting, a charcuterie or vegan plate, treats for doggie guests, door prize raffle ticket, entry into the parade and contest, prizes for the winners, and live music for your entertainment. Wine by Witch Creek Winery and Coffee by Sleeping Tiger will also be available for purchase. All proceeds to benefit the Spay-Neuter Action Project.
