Native Bee Presentation
4843 B Voltaire Street, San Diego, 92107
Cost: $10
Ocean Beach Green Center Colorful and gentle, solitary native bees can be found all over the world. In San Diego alone we have 700 different species that live alone, do not sting or make honey, but pollinate 75% of our food. Native bees lay their eggs in a tunnel cavity, but with habitat loss and pesticide use, nest sites are scare. Join us for an in depth discussion with our friend Candace, the architect to the solo bees. She will share her solution to help the bees and together we can all make OB a Pollinator Village.
