As part of its mission to support and advance a healthy, integrated food system, local nonprofit Berry Good Food Foundation along and Leichtag Foundation present the first Future Thought Leaders panel of 2017 headlined by labor leader and civil rights activist Dolores Huerta, who co-founded the National Farm Workers Association with César Chávez.

Other panelists include: Dave Murphy, founder and executive director of Food Democracy Now!; Daron Joffe, director of agricultural innovation and development at the Leichtag Foundation; Rose Hayden-Smith, editor of the UC Food Observer; Jillian Barber, MPH, program manager at Sharp Healthcare; Dr. Keith Pezzoli, PhD, director of USP Program, supervisor of field studies, UCSD; Daron “Farmer D” Joffe, interim executive director at Coastal Roots Farm; Michelle Lerach, panel moderator and founder of the Berry Good Food Foundation.

The evening begins with hosted light cuisine from local chefs. Panel discussion 5:30-7 pm.
