Specialists will hold training sessions and seminars on new techniques that are often developed specifically by the presenters.

This year includes composers and musicians will from New York City, Los Angeles, and Portland including the fantasy opera of Thoth & Lila Angelique, violinist/composer Lynn Bechtold, and artist/composer Mark Kostabi (performing along with the cross-genre New York-based CompCord Ensemble). The New West Electronic Arts and Music Organization has evolved since it's founding in 1998 from purely electronic to purely eclectic. The mission is to put as many different genres onstage as possible in a single evening, Tonight's show includes a work based on a Samurai death chant, another based on Cuban voodoo ritual, an otherworldly fantasy opera where the performers sing, dance & play violin simutaneosly, a funky barrel-house Blues piano diva, and a tribute to Joni Mitchel's "Blue" Album. All of this accompanied by a light show based on world renowned bad-boy artist Mark Kostabi's iconic paintings. (Kostabi will be in attendance and will also be performing.)

Time: 6:15 PM San Diego Central Library Auditorium FREE, Suggested donation $10.
