Banned in Paris in 1667, Tartuffe is one of French playwright Moliere's best-loved comedies. A master villain of religious hypocrisy, Tartuffe worms his way into the household of Orgon, a 17th-century Parisian nobleman, and immediately sends the entire household into chaos.
