Film in the Garden: Roman Holiday
Monday, Aug. 11, 2014, 8 p.m.
Age limit: All ages
Audrey Hepburn stars in this romantic comedy that follows Princess Ann as she travels throughout Europe. Frustrated with the tightly scheduled and regimented life of a royal, Hepburn's character escapes in order to experience life as a commoner. This film is shown in conjunction with the exhibitions "Spanish Sojourns: Robert Henri and the Spirit of Spain" and "Sorolla and America," which both explore the idea of experiencing and understanding another culture.
During Film in the Garden, the Museum will presents four films in the May S. Marcy Sculpture Garden this summer. The restaurant in the Sculpture Court will be open for all film screenings and will offer light snacks and beverages, including a full bar. Grab a picnic, a blanket, and a few friends for our film series under the stars. Seating is limited, so be sure to arrive early to find a good seat on the lawn!
