More than 200,000 travelers expected in Baja California for Easter

Annual tourists expected to continue in large numbers for Semana Santa

The state of Baja California expects up to a quarter million travelers to visit tourists destinations during Easter week, which is known as Semana Santa in Mexico. According to Juan Tintos Funcke, head of the Ministry of Tourism, the state expects the usual amount of travelers of over 200,000 during holy week.

The destinations expected to be most popular doing the week are Ensenada and San Felipe. The large number of travelers will consist of local Baja Californians, Mexicans from other parts of the country, and United States citizens. El Economista reported, Thursday, March 21st, that spring break numbers have been down, yet Semana Santa expects to remain steady.
