Police Start Patrol of City for Christmas (El Mexicano, 11/30/12, by Fernando Escobedo Camacho)

ENSENADA, BC – Police officers will safeguard businesses and citizens who come to the downtown area and city shopping areas. Yesterday began Operation Didciembre Seguro which will be guarded by more than 60 officers on foot, motorcycles and pick ups, making clear a recommendation for these times is not to bring too much money and when coming to get bonuses from cashiers or banks, be accompanied by another person.

The Coordinator of Operation Didciembre Seguro, Deputy Commander Humberto Durán Durán said that at all the shops in the city adjacent to calles Reforma, México, Delante y Cortez, there will be added security to prevent an increase in robberies or assaults to dealers or buyers.

The Operational Coordinator asked citizens themselves to prevent assaults and for this reason there is no better strategy than not go shopping with lots of money. If you have a credit card or are due pay, don’t bring a lot of money to the market. Another recommendation is to go shopping accompanied by another person and call the municipal police immediately if you see anything suspicious. This recommendation also extends to businesses.

These days, at shops and with passers-by, thefts will increase and for all, it is important to prevent them. Do not go to ATMs and show your money, because only in that way can we prevent robberies. http://www.el-mexicano.com.mx/informacion/noticias/1/22/policiaca/2012/11/30/633352/inicia-operativo-navideno-en-la-ciudad.aspx
