Border News Translations: Exercise Challenge; Protest March; Prisoners Escape

JUAREZ CHIH (Frontnet, Juan Carlos Carreón, 5/28/11) - More than 500,000 Juárenses gathered to exercise in the City of Juárez, said the town sports director. The data will be compared in a challenge of physical activity against Caracas, which had about 505,000 people. The demonstrators stayed for several more minutes while Teto greeted residents gathered at High School Técnica 86 for a public hearing.

REYNOSA TAM (Expresionenred, 5/27/11) – The former warden of the prison in this city, Inocencio Almazán Monroy, was formally charged by the Federal Public Ministry, with criminal acts along with 11 other officials for their involvement in the escape of 17 defendants in recent days. Inocencio Almazán Monroy, of UNPD prison is charged with the offense of helping prisoners escape with an aggravating circumstance of bribery, according to official information from the Attorney General of the Republic. Twelve of the 17 escaped convicts were under criminal proceedings for federal crimes and the other five for common law offenses. Together they escaped from the prison through a city tunnel.
