Gotta Keep 'em Decorated

The decour in some restaurants.

There are two types of restaurant walls that annoy me. One is the sports bar, that has framed football jerseys. For some reason, these never look good.

For example, a Fillipi's in Mira Mesa has a Warren Moon and Rick Mirer jersey. Who cares?

Other places, like Oggi's in North County Fair, have jerseys that aren't even autographed. Anyone can go into a sports store and buy an LT jersey and frame it. So, what's the point?

If it's a shirt he wore when he broke a record, or even one he actually wore in a game and then signed, that's kind of interesting.

The other thing I see a lot of, are license plates on walls. I just saw this at the Roadhouse in San Marcos. What kind of decour is this? The license plates used to be popular in Bowl Weevil's.

Often times, this TGIFridays, Bennigan's, type of look...is taking everything that you see at a garage sale or thirft store, and plastering it up on the walls. To me, it should all fit a theme.

And random license plates, fit no theme.

It looks cool at Hoodad's in OB, but that's because a lot of them are personalized, and surf related. And, there are so many, they're fun to look at.

Wow...I can't believe I ranted like this about wall decorations...and I once made fun of a friend for watching Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.
