Latino Film Festival Sponsor Holds Brazilian Carnival This Weekend

San Diego Brazil Carnival, longtime Latino Film Festival sponsor and supporter of the annual Brazilian Cinema Showcase, holds its 20th Annual event starting at 9 p.m. this Saturday night.

Brazilian Productions presents their San Diego Brazil Mardi Gras Carnival at 4th & B. The gala promises carnival bands, Samba dancers, capoeira performances, parades, and of course Mardi Gras masks and beads. The dancers are accompanied by live percussionists playing authentic Batucada rhythms of Rio de Janeiro. Tickets range from $25.00 - $75.00.

Enter the free raffle and one of you may go home with a round trip ticket to Brazil courtesy of Copa Airlines. The winner will be announced on stage at midnight.

This year's selections for the Brazilian Cinema Showcase are Bollywood Dream, Captains of the Sand, and Found Memories. NOTE: No films will be screened at the carnival. The Brazilian Cinema Showcase at the 19th Annual San Diego Latino Film Festival, takes place March 8 -18.
