Playing follow the money with DeMaio vs. Peters
Politics is always ugly when people, anyone, paint people with a broad brush, like saying Koch Brothers or similar tags. These guys are simply exercising their right to endorse candidates. By the way, do you know that they employ tens of thousands?— July 10, 2013 1:13 p.m.
Environmental Health Coalition takes on the whole wide world
I beg to differ with JamieOrtiz, I believe the primary purpose of city government is to deliver services efficiently, whether or not it uses energy from renewable sources, or from fossil fuels. After all, the city has no experts on global warming, climatology, meteorology, or other expert fields that could gauge how the earth is doing by man's emissions of GHG. Also, to take a somewhat more pessimistic view of the IPCC mantra, there are numerous sources of information which dispute that view of the world's demise.— January 24, 2013 9:15 a.m.
Killer dolphin gig
That $17.67/hr employment wage is probably much cheaper for SSC SD than the rate which SAIC charges for a "crew-member", the source for most dolphin-related employees when I worked there.— November 28, 2012 11:34 a.m.
San Diego inches closer to abolishing bicycle licensing law
Congratulations, this is another idiotic law which should be abolished! Maybe the city can start leading California towards less regulation.— October 10, 2012 1:10 p.m.
Rancho Santa Politica
Why shouldn't any community support its own interests? What is surprising to me that this PAC would support candidates, Brian Maienschein, who voted for measures which blew a hole in the San Diego budget, by enacting huge pension benefits to city workers. That seems so unlike most rich folks.— October 10, 2012 1:03 p.m.
Color of Jerry Brown's Money
As expected, Moonbeam is up to this usual/routine defense of global warming, err Climate Change, even though it is totally disproven as the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory reported no warming for the last 17 years.— March 14, 2012 11:21 a.m.
