Alleged pay-to-play cases remain in South Bay
One more thing--possibly the reason the D.A. wanted the trials back in San Diego is that she has lots of judges in her pocket and can tell them what to do and how to rule. (The Jovan Jackson judge is a great example) "Faith" in the judges there translates into the Dirty D.A. calling the shots but thanks to this brave Judge, justice just might be served in these cases, despite the "efforts" of our corrupt District Attorney to impede it.— February 5, 2013 7:21 p.m.
Bonnie Dumanis kicks off campaign for fourth-term as District Attorney
I think you are the one that needs to get a grip. I am fully aware of the difference between prosecute & persecute. Perhaps you have not been victimized by the Dirty D.A., yourself? Why is it that Bonnie goes after the South Bay Hispanics when there is monkey business that went on up at Mira Costa College that she didn't even blink an eye at? I think most clear-thinking people know the answer to that one. (http://learningboosters.blogspot.com/2008/12/bonn…) It is bad enough that the Sweetwater corruption story has hijacked the Neighborhood News section. The fact that a despicable and corrupt hack like Dumanis is (cynically) carrying the flag for your cause does not automatically make it noble, by any means. But good luck anyway.— February 4, 2013 7:23 p.m.
Bonnie Dumanis kicks off campaign for fourth-term as District Attorney
God help us! The shameless D.A. is also an egomaniac. Obviously no one wanted her for Mayor and very few still want her for D.A. Take a hint, Dumanis. The enlightened citizens of San Diego see through her endless pandering for money and cynical attempts to persecute Democrat Hispanics in the South Bay. Already her excessive retirement pension looks to be another burden on the already struggling San Diego taxpayer but I would happily wish she would retire & start collecting it just so someone new can burn sage at the "Hell of Justice" and cast out the scourge of Dirty Dumanis. http://sandiegoreader.com/users/photos/2013/feb/0…— February 4, 2013 1:03 p.m.
UCSD responds to its critics
Have to say this is just like many regular school districts that say they care about the kids, yada...yada...yada, but it is really all about the unions, pay hikes, seniority, vacation time. Oh, yes, what about the kids? I can see that higher education is really no different.— February 1, 2013 12:39 p.m.
Chula Vista’s Cricket becomes Sleep Train
Too many stories about Chula & Sweetwater and that curse word is totally unnecessary!— January 31, 2013 11:15 a.m.
