Te Mana Cafe

Formerly a cute single-family OB bungalow, Te Mana's owners renovated their home into a coffee shop, but kept the sense of comfort and coziness. The patio gets a lot of great afternoon sun, and the manapua (Hawaiian steamed buns) and plate lunch specials (meat, rice, and mac salad like you'd get anywhere in the islands) give the place a little much-needed distinction in a world of otherwise identical cafe menus.

The food at this place is awesome and the inside and patio just make you want to hang out here all day! And the owners, Jason and Marguerite are SUCH great hosts they actually don't mind if you SO hang out all day! Come to their GRAND OPENING this Saturday the 29th. Entertainment and everything!!

Te Mana Cafe on Voltaire, the cool looking Craftsman Style 1920's house a few doors down from the Tilted Stick, has the best atmosphere to hang out in. Big porch and patio surrounded by ginormous palms and plants everywhere, comfy couches inside (fireplace), amazing list of coffees, acai bowls and breakfast sammies, salads, kahlua pork plates, people sitting around playing guitars, talking to one another...NOT ONE COMPUTER IN SIGHT!

You truly feel like you're sitting in a cafe in Hawaii!

Shhhhh....OB's best kept secret! And oh, if you bring in an old surfboard for their wall, you get a free Hawaiian plate lunch!
