The Athenaeum Music & Arts Library (1008 Wall Street) continues their concert series with the Melissa Aldana Crash Trio featuring Aldana on tenor saxophone, Pablo Menares on bass, and Francisco Mela on drums. Aldana won the Thelonious Monk competition and the concert is nearly sold out. Tickets are $26 general admission, $21 Athenaeum members, and it starts at 7:30 p.m.… The Young Lions Series at Croce’s Park West (2760 Fifth Avenue) carries on with Evan McColm at 7:00 p.m. $5 cover… Trumpeter Gilbert Castellanos hosts the Jazz Jam Session at Seven Grand (3054 University Avenue) with pianist Joshua White, bassist Rob Thorsen, and drums TBA. 9:00 p.m., 21+, no cover, musicians bring your instruments.
