Stuffed Chops from the Pop-Rock Shop

Wednesday 20
Last September, hip-hop pioneer Kevin Donovan, aka Afrika Bambaataa, was nominated for 2008 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Bam is a Bronx native of Carribean descent who came up in the '70s around Mudd Club and the b-boy break-dance and graffiti-art craze. He was one of the founders of the anti-gang group Bronx River Projects and is now known as much as an advocate for troubled youth as for his music. Sean Healy Presents brings the 50-year-old MC to 'Canes Wednesday night. The night’s remainders include the Lovemakers, Buddy Akai, and Oslo at Casbah...Third Day and the Myriad at House of Blues...and Jezebel and Pop Noir at Beauty Bar.
