The Mainly Mozart Festival, running June 2-18, will feature a diverse line-up of artistic offerings illustrating the first chapter in Mozart’s life and career. Music Director Michael Francis has declared the 2016 season the year of “Prodigy” and has programmed early works by Mozart and other classical music prodigies. The performance features Michael Francis (conductor) and James Ehnes (violin). The program includes Mozart's Overture: “La finta semplice”, K. 51, Mozart's Symphony in D Major “Il sogno di Scipione”, K. 141a, Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 1 in B-flat Major, K. 207, and Schubert's Rondo in A Major, D. 438 Schubert Symphony No. 1 in D Major, D. 82.
