Master Composter Course
San Diego Master Composter courses are a unique opportunity to gain a more in-depth understanding of the composting process and provide insight on sharing this knowledge and passion with others. Through a combination of hands-on activities and in-classroom learning, attendees are trained to become composting ambassadors. You must complete 30 hours of community service.
Graduates play a variety of roles in their communities, including: building compost piles in community gardens, helping students manage their school worm bins, conducting workshops, and serving as composting representatives at community events. No matter what their niche, Master Composters’ grassroots waste diversion projects reflect the diversity of their backgrounds and experiences.
The five-week course will meet every Saturday for 2.5 hours, starting April 11 through May 9, 2015. Priority registration will be given to unincorporated County of San Diego residents. Non-unincorporated County of San Diego residents will be put on a waitlist and notified as spots become available.
