Local swing combo the Zzymzzy Quartet will be celebrating its tenth anniversary with a concert tribute to early jazz greats Django Reinhardt and Duke Ellington. A set of songs by both composers will evoke the moment in 1946 when the French gypsy guitar virtuoso toured the United States with the legendary bandleader who penned so many jazz classics like “It Don’t Mean a Thing if it Ain’t Got That Swing.”
