International Guitar Night 2014
International Guitar Night is an annual musical event which brings together acoustic guitarists to perform their latest compositions and exchange musical ideas in a public concert setting.
This will be the sixth year the Museum has hosted the event, which travels across the U.S and Canada. Each tour, IGN founder Brian Gore invites a new cast of guitar luminaries to join him for special evenings of solos, duets and quartets that highlight the virtuosity and diversity within the world of acoustic guitar.
IGN founder Brian Gore will be joined by Italy's Pino Forastiere, Mike Dawes from England, and Quique Sinesi from Argentina.
Forastiere and Dawes are known in contemporary steel string guitar circles for their mix of melody, improvisation and hand percussion using the strings, the fretboard and the body of the guitar. Quique is a master of many South American melodies and rhythms on both guitar and charango.
